    Description

    Vintage Stanley number 3308 surveyor tripod 50" legs. Looks Complete?. Underside says patented 8-24. Good wooden non-adjustable oak legs with metal shields at the bottom. Made for transit or a level definitely not a tripod for a camera. All parts seem to be there. Tripod base only no top instrument. Antique Scientific Instrument storage Box / case. Nice size, measures 10 1/4" long by 4 in high by 4 1/2" deep.  Nice wood graining and patina with wonderful old brass hinges, decorative with locking hasp in front. In very nice original condition, probably early turn of the century.
