Vintage Gurley Transit Scope Surveyor Wye Level - 630024

Description

This is a great old surveyor's level.
Approximately 17 1/2" long. Very heavy, weighs nearly 10 lbs.
All metal construction. Large level beneath the scope.
Made by W. & L.E. Gurley in Troy, NY and accordingly marked. Also bears the model (or serial) number 630024. The base has the impressed number "3 1/2 - 8TBAS" (?).

Estate find, uncleaned, UNTESTED,
as found, these do not come up very often, made in the 40's and 50's, these came in two sizes, the ones we have listed are the larger size about 3 3/4" long and about a 7/8 diameter piston; need clean up from long storage, may even have wear, rust, missing parts, and damage, all for parts or repair; please see all pictures before bidding,
