    Description

    Very nice and clean antique late 19th century French brass pocket field optical viewing glass, complete with its original tin box. The magnifier slides out of its casing and the sides have five panels cut out. The top unscrews from the base and has a little bead lens in the top. In excellent working condition with no damage to the magnifier. It retained its gilding with some wear (see photos) related to age and use.
    Dimensions
    : 7.5 cm long extended (5 cm closed) and 2.5 cm diameter.
    This item is not new, it may show minor signs of wear. Please examine the photos for more information regarding the condition.

    A good and caset set of 5 eyepieces for a French terrestrial telescope, second half ot the 19th century.
    The brass eyepieces are of different size and magnification : the different lenses measure 3 cm, 2,5 cm, 1,8 cm, 0,6 cm and 0,5 cm for magnfication of 44, 55, 74, 225 and 270.
    All the eyepieces are in pristine condition.
    There is no marker mark or signature.
