made of us fabric, 100% cotton sateen a vintage fabric, has some "details" on fabric, i think  weave  is hbt,  this us made  fabric was sent to korea and made finished hat there. hat is marked a 7.25 but fits that size a little snug, so i call fit is 7-7.25.  flaps are sewn into band on inside and can be pulled down as on original. just another layer of same fabric. no other  fabric but a   double layer of same fabric. This is an ORIGINAL UNISSUED CAMOUFLAGE COLD WEATHER INSULATING CAP HELMET LINER SIZE 7 1/4 (MEDIUM)  DATED 85. The Camouflage Cold Weather Insulating Cap Helmet Liner was worn under the helmet to help keep there heads warm.
The hood could also be worn just as a hood / hat without the helmet.
The outside of the hood is made of an camouflage color cotton / nylon material. On each side there is a slit on each side for the helmet chin strap to fit through. On the front there is Velcro for fastening around your neck. The inside is lined with a wool blanket type of material. Inside there are 2 sewn in labels. One label reads CAP, COLD WEATHER,  INSULATING HELMET LINER, CLASS 2, DLA100-85-C-0319, 8415-01-099-7846, 80% COTTON 20% NYLON, ATLAS HEADWEAR, INC. and the number 7 1/4 for the size.
The other label reads CAP, COLD WEATHER, INSULATING, HELMET LINER with wearing and laundering instructions. The Cap Insulating Helmet Liner 7 1/4 (Medium) is in new condition.
