This is a teaching barometer.
The case is completely sealed and has a barbed hose fitting on the bottom of the case along with a bleed valve.
A rubber squeeze bulb can be connected to the fitting and when it is squeezed, the barometer reading will go up or down indicating how the change in atmospheric pressure will work on the bllows of the barometer and change the mechanical movement and give a reading in pressure.
The barometer can be used normally too if the hose connection is left open or the bleed valve is left open.
