GENUINE U.S. G.I. Helmet Liner Leather Sweatband,

Description

New GI helmet sweatband. For sale is this unusual military garrison cap.  I believe it is Russian from the USSR period as it has a similar appearance. The red trim is typical and the solid wool leads one to believe that whatever soldier wore it was serving in a cold climate.  There is a button that secures the earflaps at the top, but allows the wearer to use them for covering and warmth.  With the passage of time, moths have made it a target, but while damage is visible, it is not severe.
