BELGIAN ARMY AIRBORNE PARATROOPER M-71 HELMET. SHELLS WERE MADE IN GERMANY BY SCHUBERTH & BRAUNSCHNIG. LINERS THE GALLET F-1 WERE MADE IN FRANCE AND ASSEMBLED IN BELGIUM BY THE QUARTERMASTER. THE SHELLS WERE MADE FOR THE TYPICAL GERMAN PARATROOPER HELMET WITH THE 4 SCREWS FOR THE LINER BUT FOR THIS HELMET THEY WERE FILLED IN WITH BLIND RIVETS AND 6 ADDITIONAL HOLES WERE DRILLED TO ACCOMMODATE THE FRENCH TRIAL LINER SYSTEM. THE TOP 4 RIVETS ARE THE BLIND FILLED ONES. LEATHER SWEATBAND WITH A SYNTHETIC CANVAS CHINSTRAP. HELMET IS PAINTED WITH ANTI-REFLECTIVE PAINT WITH A BELGIAN TRI-COLOR DECAL ON THE LEFT SIDE. HELMET LINER & CHINSTRAP ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO ISSUES. JNA Yugoslav army paratrooper battalion beret with officer insignia issued for veterans of 63rd Para battalion.
INSIGNIA IS MADE FOR VETERANS in early 90' just before the war.
Therefore not a reproduction, but authentic, and not intended for active duty officers.
CONDITION: MINT condition.
