Antique Ross Mensuration Geometrical Teaching Block Set, Original Crate 1900

Unusual and rare this is a set of Ross Mensuration Blocks Dissected Mathematical Solids, an early geometry mathematical teaching kit introduced by Columbia University in the late 1800’s early 1900’s. Over 50 wood and tin block formsused to calculate weight and mass. In its original red stained hand dovetailed crate measuring 18” by 11.5” by 10”. Has good Hinges and Original Iron Handle. Original labels inside and on various blocks. This is a rare and early teaching set. See photos.

1901 VINTAGE THE CALCUMETER -EARLY COMPUTING - H.N. MORSE TRENTON N J.THIS IS 7 1/4" LONG AND 2" WIDE- 6 WHEELS - STILL TURN WELL - SMALL LEGS AT THE BACK CAN BE LOWERED TO TILT IT FORWARD. INFO I GOT ON IT WAS FROM THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AMERICAN HISTORY. I BELIEVE IT IS BRASS AND GERMAN SILVER.
