Antique Brass Telescope Lens & Tube Assembly w/ Solar Eyepiece for Parts Repair
This is a nice 19thc Brass French telescoping assembly.
Equipped with an opaque "Solar Eye Piece on the outside on one end with the internal sliding tube stage with top flange and threaded top (~7 1/2" long) with one dent near to bottom end.  The opaque solar shield is screwed on to the threaded end with an eyepiece end exposed by removal of the solar eye piece; the tube is 1 1/4" diameter.
The outer tube is ~7 1/2" long x ~1 3/8" diameter, to which a separate eyepiece / lens assembly is in the other end mounted in a threaded, slotted holder screwed into the end of the outer tube.  The inner tube is just over 1 1/4" diameter.
The entire assembly is just 12 3/8" long collapsed and 2 5/8" long.  The brass end housing is marked 0.6 on the rim face.
This assembly is of a brass and/or bronze construction.
