Up for auction is a beautiful color real picture postcard RPPC from Chinatown in San Francisco depicting "Chinese fortune teller"  to Guatemala. Scarce destination of an unusual postcard.
In excellent condition. Postmarked October 3, 1903.

"Chinese Temple ~ A highly superstitious people relied heavily on their temple gods to protect them from harm. Lit with wax candles and burning incense, the temple exudes the mysterious aura attibutable to the almighty gods. At one time every Chinatown has at least one temple, but succeeding generations have drifted away from this faith supplanted mostly by Christian religions." (see additional scan of rear of postcard)
