Up for auction is  circa 1900 small Brass Specification Plate from a Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company Type CCL Induction Motor. It measures 3.5 x 4.75 inches and is in nice condition with light wear
Mineralogy: Unusual Polarizing Tongs
Pair of polarizing tongs some 6" long, unusual in that the polarizer is simply a small reflective glass plate (reflected light is plane polarized). I am not sure of the nature of the analyzer. This would normally be a polished plate of tourmaline but here it is a small plate of a purple colour. Whatever it is it works quite well and produces a good extinction.
